All weddings are special, but this one had a little extra meaning for me. We traveled down to Hendersonville, North Carolina to film my cousin Madi’s wedding. A fall wedding in North Carolina is beautiful. I would go back in a heartbeat.
Madi reached out to me only a few weeks before her wedding day in October of 2021. She, like most brides, was on the fence about a videographer for the day. She already had a photographer but was starting to get the itch for a cinematographer. Madi wanted people to put their phones away and enjoy the evening and not be distracted trying to record video on their phones. She didn’t want to put the responsibility on her father to record the ceremony on an ipad. That’s when she called me.
Madi didn’t want anything more than a simple two minute recap video of the ceremony and reception. She wanted just something that she could watch quickly, that had a few shots of the people that meant the most to her and that she could share with them on social media.
We did exactly that in this awesome 2 minute wedding video. My favorite part, aside from seeing my entire family there was the portrait shots we were able to get in front of the waterfall and with all the foliage on the colorful trees in the background. Ouh, and we also had a few closeup shots with llamas!
